Storyboard

01 - 05
The Recipe Wakes Up

We open in a grounded reality—reading, tools, and tabletop details anchor the medical text in the present. As ink ripples into a vortex, the scene pivots from live-action realism to magical logic: the “Little Blue Dragon” recipe begins to stir, signaling that the book is not only a source of knowledge, but a gateway with its own rules.

06 - 10
Into the Mountains

This sequence shifts into a quest structure. Wide landscapes establish the world; mid shots track the character’s movement; close-ups on the basket and herbs turn tradition into an actionable objective. By moving from macro to micro, the storyboard translates TCM knowledge into visible, playable steps—environment, path, and props all carry meaning.

11 - 17
Brewing the Decoction

We treat brewing as choreography. Overhead shots clarify structure and sequence; inserts and close-ups emphasize hands, tools, and liquid texture; a back-view anchors the viewer inside the ritual. Functionally, it explains the process—but it also prepares the visual grammar for the crossover, as live-action realism and animated cues begin to share the same space.

18 - 21
When Worlds Collide

The finale completes the crossover through a simple visual logic—drop, ripple, portal. The Little Blue Dragon’s impact triggers an expanding ink-and-water reaction, and the page transforms from medium to doorway. The closing tableau (tools, pot, open book) makes the theme explicit: the ancient text and the present-day learner now occupy one shared reality, launching the story into its book-world exploration.
